Mushroom Coffee + L-Theanine - Up Your Caffeine Game!

I'm sure that you've never had a single thought containing both mushrooms and coffee at the same time, but let me tell you about what you're missing! Caffeine is a powerful tool and should be something that you use in that way. If you're like most people and need caffeine to #people you might want to just re-evaluate your relationship with caffeine and see if you can make some small tweaks to sleep and other parts of your life. That being said, caffeine is something you can use as an incredible tool to help you move more presently throughout your day and your life.

Four Sigmatic has created a coffee combination including chaga and lion's mane mushrooms as part of the blend and it is mind blowing, literally! Essentially, these mushrooms are supportive for your focus, creativity and motivation throughout the day.

Chaga mushrooms have been used for centuries in Siberia and other parts of Asia as a medicine to boost immunity and improve overall health and more recently has been adopted by the Western world because of the health benefits that are touted. Chaga contain a ton of antioxidants which can help to boost overall health.

Lion’s mane mushrooms contain bioactive substances that have beneficial effects on the body, especially the brain, heart and gut. They are continually used for health benefits throughout the world, especially in Asia.

When combined with caffeine, the benefits of these two mushrooms are enhanced to help you focus and work harder than you may normally.

I had my first cup today and it was glorious! I felt a sense of calm, but also felt like I could have sat down and done a bunch of things! I instantly left the house and went out shopping to get things done and felt very motivated to fine some deals and #dothedamnthing -- of course, this was just my first cup and it's absolutely possible that I was super bought in to the hype and got a placebo effect, but I loved the taste and I'm looking forward to continue drinking this stuff!

Also, I decided this week to incorporate L-Theanine into my supplementation routine and in combination with my coffee in the morning for an additional focus zone application.

L-Theanine is an amino acid (a building block for proteins) found in green tea. People use theanine for treating anxiety and high blood pressure, for preventing Alzheimer’s disease, and for making cancer drugs more effective. It is also a nootropic known to have a great combination effect with caffeine.

So, I've been implementing 200mg of L-Theanine into my coffee this week and have felt fantastic! I am one to easily get distracted and lose motivation while I fall into a YouTube rabbit hole, and this made it so I could really focus in on my task at hand and be super efficient. I've used this all week and really see a difference. I also feel an overall calm, so even when I'm super busy - it just feels like, it's okay, I'll get it done. Check out this awesome article that I read which gave me my inspiration to go for it!
